The handcrafted ebony pieces have a classic appearance and are triple weighted to give you a comfortable feel with every move.  And the base of each piece is covered with felt to protect the piece and board.

The 12 inch black and maple chess board has 1.5 inch squares, and features a 2 inch deep storage compartment below the board to store your valuable chess pieces.  The storage compartment has individual dividers to keep the chess pieces securely in place.

A spindle and groove feature on the board and case allows easy access to the storage compartment and secure placement of the board.  Keep everything in one place with this self-contained chess set.
