The chess board came today, right on schedule. It's the one I ordered, 20.5" square, black and Madrona burl. This is the glossy version, made in Spain, and it's the most beautiful board I've ever seen. 

I saw an ad for this board, on-line. I think it was on another website. The ad said the glossy version, which I now own, has the sheen of a grand piano. Truer words were never spoken.

Hi John,

Thought you may like to know that the green and white marble chess set I ordered on Sunday arrived yesterday, Wednesday! I am very pleased, especially with the shades of green which coordinate nicely with the color scheme of the room where it will be on permanent (more or less) display.
 
Maybe you just now guessed that I am not a serious player, but I have friends who are very good, and I am quite interested in following tournament play around the world, and chess history has become a time consuming hobby, also.

Thank you very much for allowing the extra 5% discount which I had inquired about. I never found the place to enter the discount code, so it's my error. Sorry.

If I hear of some of my friends wanting to buy a chess board and/or pieces, I will recommend your site, for sure.
